2004
This is a completely independent documentary that was never distributed. After 6 years in the making in close contact with artist and management, after licensing the sync rights for the music and finding a sales agent that started the outreach, we received a Cease and Desist letter from Atlantic Records and were told to stop. We contacted artist and management and never received an answer. We recently licensed some of the original footage from our film Till You're Told To Stop to the producers of the 2023 documentary James Blunt: One Brit Wonder.
Till You're told to stop
feature documentary
Till You’re Told To Stop follows the career of British singer songwriter James Blunt. It tracks the steps of an artist with no musical background through to his enormous worldwide success with his debut album Back To Bedlam.
What happens between the summer of 2003 and 2009 (signing, the early gigs, album release, promotion, world touring and success in the UK and USA all the way to the recording of James’s second album) constitutes one of the most amazing musical journeys in decades.
The film documents the friendship that grows between James and his Band while gaining public exposure and playing to ever growing audiences throughout London, Europe and the USA and how the original fan base develops into worshiping masses.
